Transitional Aid to Families with Dependent Children (TAFDC) Transitional Aid to Families with Dependent Children (TAFDC) is a state and federally funded program which provides cash assistance to families with children and pregnant women in the last 120 days of pregnancy, with little or no assets or income. 

Food Assistance Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program/SNAP (formerly the Food Stamps Program) benefits are provided by the federal government and administered by DTA.  Residents of the Commonwealth who participate in SNAP are families with children, elders and disabled. 

MassHealth is insurance coverage that pays for healthcare for income eligible residents of Massachusetts.

The Massachusetts Children's Trust Fund leads statewide efforts to prevent child abuse and neglect by supporting parents and strengthening families. As an umbrella organization, CTF funds, evaluates, and promotes the work of over 100 agencies that serve parents. Supported by private, state, and federal funding, the Children’s Trust Fund invests in Massachusetts’ most precious resource – children and their families.
